We rescued the Israelites from the humiliating torment 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Even then they say: 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba' and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners. 37 For [thus it is:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in mere idle play: 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
