The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 Are the unbelievers among you any better than they? Or is there immunity for you in the Scriptures? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 (Let them know that) this united group will soon run away in defeat. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 Lo! the guilty are in error and madness. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 The pious ones will live in Paradise wherein streams flow, 54 In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). 55
