The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 by the night swarming, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
