The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
