The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
