۞ When the son of Mary is mentioned as an example, your people turn away from it 57 And say: Are our gods better, or is he? They raise not the objection save for argument. Nay! but they are a contentious folk. 58 He is naught but a bondman: him We favoured, and him We made an ensample unto the Children of Israil. 59 And if We willed, We could have made [instead] of you angels succeeding [one another] on the earth. 60 And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. 61 And let not Satan bar you [from it] - for, verily, he is your open foe! 62 When Jesus came with clear signs, he said, "Now I have come to you with wisdom, in order to make clear to you some of the things about which you dispute: therefore fear God and obey me. 63 Lo! Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a right path. 64 Then the sects differed among themselves. Woe then unto those who do Wrong because of the torment of an afflictive Day. 65 What are they waiting for – except the Last Day, that it may suddenly come upon them while they are unaware? 66 The friends shall on that day be enemies one to another, except those who guard (against evil). 67
