Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
