Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the winds that scatter the dust far and wide, 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur'an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
