The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
