The Night (Al-Layl)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night, when it envelops, 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 Consider the creation of the male and the female! 3 Verily, [O men,] you aim at most divergent ends! 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 and believes in the finest, 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 and their wealth will be of no benefit to them when they face destruction. 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. 16 Far removed from it will be the righteous 17 He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 He verily will be content. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
