Al-Sharrhh
Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Have We not opened your breast for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))? 1 And removed your burden 2 that had weighed so heavily on thy back? 3 Did We not exalt thy fame? 4 Surely with hardship there is ease. 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when you have finished (from your occupation), then stand up for Allah's worship (i.e. stand up for prayer). 7 And to your Lord direct [your] longing. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
