Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking, 1 And the earth throws out its burdens. 2 And man will say: "What is the matter with it?" 3 On that Day it will relate all her news, 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 Whosoever has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And whosoever hath worked ill of an atom's weight shall behold it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
