O believers, obey God and His Messenger, and do not turn away from Him, even as you are listening; 20 And be not like those who say: "We have heard," but they hear not. 21 ۞ Indeed the worst kind of all beasts in the sight of Allah are the people that are deaf and dumb, and do not understand. 22 Had Allah known of any good in them He would have made them hear, but had He made them hear they would have turned away, averse. 23 O Ye who believe! answer Allah and the apostle when he calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that verily Allah interposeth between a man and his heart, and that verily unto Him ye all shall be gathered. 24 Beware of sedition, which does not affect the oppressors alone among you, and know that the punishment of God is severe. 25 And remember when you were few, deemed weak in the land, fearing lest people might carry you off by force, but He sheltered you and strengthened you with His aid and gave you of the good things that you may give thanks. 26 Believers! Do not be unfaithful to Allah and the Messenger, nor be knowingly unfaithful to your trusts. 27 Know that your wealth and children are a trial and that there is an immense reward with God. 28
