Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
