Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Almighty Allah's Truth.
