Surely the fruit of the Zaqqum tree 43 Food of the sinner. 44 Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies, 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 [And the word will be spoken:] "Seize him, [O you forces of hell,] and drag him into the midst of the blazing fire: 47 Then pour unto their heads the boiling water to torment them". 48 Taste thou! thou art indeed mighty, honoured! 49 “Indeed this is what you used to doubt about.” 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 Amid gardens and watersprings, 52 dressed in silks and brocade, set face to face. 53 We shall unite them to maidens with big black and white lovely eyes. 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 and neither shall they taste death there after having passed through their erstwhile death. Thus will He have preserved them from all suffering through the blazing fire 56 As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait thou then; verily they also are waiting. 59
