Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
