Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 Assuredly, We are able to show thee that We promise them. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another. 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy – they are the successful. 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 Whosoever calls upon another god, other than Allah, having no proof his reckoning will be with his Lord. The unbelievers shall never prosper. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.' 118
