The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
