We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 "Who set up another ilah (god) with Allah, then (both of you) cast him in the severe torment." 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
