(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
