He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 and ease my task for me, 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and let him share my task 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 And remember You much. 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 Then your sister followed you, and said (to the people who had retrieved the child): 'Should I guide you to a person who can nurse him?' We thus brought you back to your mother that her heart may be cheered, and she may not grieve. (Remember) when you killed a man We saved you from anguish; and tested and steeled you (in other ways). Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure, 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
