Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing! 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
