Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 by pouring upon them a terrible shower of rain. How evil was the rain for those who had been warned! 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
