The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah), 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
