3/4 Hizb 45

Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
