I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 From the guilty. 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
