Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
