And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this, now We have removed your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!" 22 And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony). 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 "Who set up another ilah (god) with Allah, then (both of you) cast him in the severe torment." 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
