Warnings also came to the Pharaonites, 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Surely the Hour will be the moment of their promise, and that moment will be calamitous and distressing. 46 Verily, the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.) are in error (in this world) and will burn (in the Hell-fire in the Hereafter). 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers, 54 in the seat of truth with an all-powerful sovereign. 55
