Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
