[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and let him share my task 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 (Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54
