Have you seen the one who turned away 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 Thamud, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
