Surely for the godfearing shall be Gardens of Bliss with their Lord. 34 Should We treat the true believers and the wrongdoers alike? 35 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 36 Or have you, perchance, a [special] divine writ which you study, 37 surely in it you shall have whatever you choose! 38 Or have ye a covenant on oath from Us that reacheth to the Day of Judgment, that yours shall be all that ye ordain? 39 Ask them, which of them will stand surety for that! 40 Or is it that they have partners in worship? So they should bring their appointed partners, if they are truthful. 41 On the Day when the leg shall be bared, and they are ordered to prostrate themselves, they will be unable. 42 Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused). 43 Hence, leave Me alone with such as give the lie to this tiding. We shall bring them low, step by step, without their perceiving how it has come about: 44 A (long) respite will I grant them: truly powerful is My Plan. 45 (Muhammad), do you ask for your preaching any recompense which is too heavy a price for them to pay? 46 Or do they have knowledge of the unknown which they copy down? 47 So wait with patience for the judgement of your Lord, and do not be like (Jonah) of the fish who called (to his Lord) when he was choked with anger. 48 Had not grace from his Lord reached him, he had surely been cast into the wilderness in a plight. 49 But his Lord chose him for His own and made him one of the righteous. 50 And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message, and they say, "Indeed, he is mad." 51 [Be patient:] for this is nought else but a reminder [from God] to all mankind. 52
