Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
