The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 And I ask of you no hire therefor; and my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 Then they branded him a liar, whereupon the chastisement of the Day of Canopy overtook them. It was the chastisement of a very awesome day. 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
