Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
