We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without purpose, even though this is the belief of the disbelievers. Woe to the disbelievers; they will suffer the torment of fire 27 shall We treat those who believe and do good works the same as those who spread corruption in the land; shall We treat the pious the same as the wicked? 28 It is a Blessed Book that We have sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad), so that those possessed with minds might ponder its verses and remember. 29 And to Dawud (David) We gave Sulaiman (Solomon). How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 30 Recall what time there were presented unto him, at eventide, coursers swift-footed. 31 he said, "My love of horses for the cause of God has made me continue watching them until sunset, thus making me miss my prayer". 32 [He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks. 33 And We indeed tested Sulaiman, and placed a dead body on his throne – he therefore inclined towards His Lord. 34 He said, “My Lord! Forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom, which shall not befit anyone after me; indeed only You are the Great Bestower.” 35 We therefore gave the wind under his control, moving steadily by his command wherever he wished. 36 And We subjected to him the evil ones: every builder and diver. 37 and others also, coupled in fetters: 38 This is Our gift, so bestow thou or withhold, without rendering an account. 39 And he had a near place in Our presence and a fair resort. 40
