WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 [coming upon thee] from the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 What, is every one of them eager to be admitted to the Garden of Bliss? 38 Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know. 39 I do not need to swear by the Lord of the eastern and western regions that We have certainly all the power 40 To replace them by (others) better than them. And we are not to be outrun. 41 So leave them to engage in vain talk and to amuse themselves until they come face to face with the Day which they are promised, 42 The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. 43 their eyes are humbled and they are covered with humiliation. Such is the Day that they were promised. 44
