Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil)
20 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Pen (Al-Qalam) before The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
O thou wrapped up in thy raiment! 1 stand up to pray for much of the night. 2 For half the night, or reduce some from it. 3 or a little more, but recite the Quran slowly and distinctly. 4 For we shall charge thee with a word of weight. 5 Truly the rising by night is most potent for governing (the soul), and most suitable for (framing) the Word (of Prayer and Praise). 6 surely in the day thou hast long business. 7 Remember the name of your Lord, and devote yourself to Him wholeheartedly. 8 Lord of the East and Lord of the West – there is no God except Him, therefore make Him your sole Trustee of affairs. 9 And be patient (O Muhammad SAW) with what they say, and keep away from them in a good way. 10 Leave it to Me to deal with the deniers, who live a life of comfort, and bear with them a little longer. 11 Verily, with Us are fetters (to bind them), and a raging Fire. 12 And food which choketh (the partaker), and a painful doom 13 on the Day when the earth and the mountains will be convulsed and the mountains will [crumble and] become like a sand-dune on the move! 14 Surely We have sent to you an Apostle, a witness against you, as We sent an apostle to Firon. 15 But Firon disobeyed the apostle, so We laid on him a violent hold. 16 How, then, if you refuse to acknowledge the truth, will you protect yourselves on that Day which shall turn the hair of children grey, 17 And the heaven shall be split therein. His promise indeed must be fulfilled. 18 Verily this is a reminder. So let him who desires take the way to his Lord. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
