Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And the close of night, 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
