Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the racers, panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
