Has it not become clear to those who inherited the earth after its [previous] people that if We willed, We could afflict them for their sins? But We seal over their hearts so they do not hear. 100 Such were the townships. We relate some tidings of them unto thee (Muhammad). Their messengers verily came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they could not believe because they had before denied. Thus doth Allah print upon the hearts of disbelievers (that they hear not). 101 And We did not find in most of them any (faithfulness to) covenant, and We found most of them to be certainly transgressors. 102 AND AFTER those [early people] We sent Moses with Our messages unto Pharaoh and his great ones, and they wilfully rejected them: and behold what happened in the end to those spreaders of corruption! 103 And Moses said, "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds 104 “It is obligatory for me not to speak concerning Allah except the truth; I have come to you all with a clear sign from your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with me.” 105 He said: if thou hast brought a sign, forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 106 Thereupon he cast down his rod, when, lo it was a serpent manifest. 107 And he drew forth his hand (from his bosom), and lo! it was white for the beholders. 108
