The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The time of people's reckoning has drawn near, and yet they turn aside in heedlessness. 1 no Remembrance from their Lord comes to them lately renewed, but they listen to it yet playing, 2 With their hearts occupied (with evil things) those who do wrong, conceal their private counsels, (saying): "Is this (Muhammad SAW) more than a human being like you? Will you submit to magic while you see it?" 3 He saith: My Lord knoweth what is spoken in the heaven and the earth. He is the Hearer, the Knower. 4 Some say: 'No, it is only mixed dreams' 'No, he has forged it himself', or, 'no, he is a poet! Let him bring us a sign, just as the ancient ones were sent as Messengers' 5 Not one city that We destroyed before them believed; what then, will they not believe? 6 And We sent not before thee but men unto whom We revealed; so ask the people of the admonition if ye know not. 7 And We did not make them bodies not eating the food, and they were not to abide (forever). 8 We then fulfilled the promise to them, therefore rescued them and whomever We willed, and destroyed the transgressors. 9 Certainly We have revealed to you a Book in which is your good remembrance; what! do you not then understand? 10
