Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
