Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the night when it enshrouds, 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 And [by] He who created the male and female, 3 That your endeavour is for different ends. 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 and denied the Truth of goodness: 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 and what will his wealth avail him when he goes down [to his grave]? 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 and, behold, Ours is [the dominion over] the life to come as well as [over] this earlier part [of your life]: 13 Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames, 14 where none shall burn except the most wicked, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 and from which the most godfearing shall be removed, 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 surely, he shall be satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
