Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Whatever is in the heavens and the earth declares the glory of Allah, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 1 To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: It is He Who gives Life and Death; and He has Power over all things. 2 He is the First and the Last and the Ascendant (over all) and the Knower of hidden things, and He is Cognizant of all things. 3 He it is who has created the heavens and the earth in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness. He knows all that enters the earth, and all that comes out of it, as well as all that descends from the skies, and all that ascends to them. And He is with you wherever you may be; and God sees all that you do. 4 His is the dominion over the heavens and the earth; and all things go back unto God [as their source]. 5 He makes the night to enter into the day and makes the day to enter into the night. He knows the thoughts within the breasts. 6 Believe in God and His Apostle, and spend of what He has given you as His trustee. And those of you who believe and spend in charity will have a great reward. 7 Why is it that you do not believe in Allah, when the Messenger calls on you to believe in your Lord, and He has made a covenant with you if you are believers? 8 It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muhammad] verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful. 9 And what is the matter with you that you spend not in the Cause of Allah? And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Makkah) (with those among you who did so later). Such are higher in degree than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to all, Allah has promised the best (reward). And Allah is All-Aware of what you do. 10
