Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
