Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya Sin. 1 By the Wise Koran, 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 (and this Qur'an) is a revelation from the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate 5 That you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 (I swear) that most of them are doomed to be punished. They have no faith. 7 We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards. 8 And We shall raise a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them, and cover them over so that they will not be able to see. 9 And it is alike unto them, whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they shall not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward. 11 Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing. 12
