And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
