The warnings also came to Pharaoh's people, 41 (They) belied all Our Signs, so We seized them with a Seizure of the All-Mighty, All-Capable to carry out what he Will (Omnipotent). 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 The hosts shall soon be routed and they shall be put to flight. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 And every thing they did is in the scriptures, 52 everything, be it great or small, is recorded. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
